McCoy Park lies at the center of the New Columbia redevelopment in North Portland. Intended to be at the heart of the new housing project, it has been planned to accommodate all residents of the community. There are three play areas with originally designed equipment intended for three age groups. The play area is the geographical and emotional heart of the development, the pivot in the plan that everything else works around.
