The president of Knife River Corp. in Oregon retired recently. Mike Crennen is replacing him.
Kevin Wilger, a Structural Engineer, has joined M. R. Richards Engineering as a project manager. Wilger is a graduate of Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo and has 25 years of experience in the design of architectural projects. He has specialized experience in the design of hotels, parking structures, office buildings, and retail facilities. He is currently managing the structural design at M. R. Richards Engineering for the new Lane County Public Health Facility in Oregon and a three-story medical office building.
DLR Group has added retail architect Jeff Wasserman, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP to the firm’s national retail and mixed-use design practice. Wasserman has been in Seattle for 3 years with prior experience at TVS&A and Cooper Carry in Atlanta. His past work includes international retail, mixed-use, hospitality, office, performing arts and healthcare.
Brian Carrico has joined JD White, the Vancouver division of BERGER/ABAM Engineers Inc., as a Senior Planner. Carrico received his bachelor’s in Geography from Central Washington University and is a member of the American Planning Association. Carrico, who has extensive experience in public sector planning and private sector project design and management, will work on long-range and current planning projects, as well as environmental reports and studies.
Bob Bandarra recently joined HDR as the Seattle water marketing manager based in the firm’s Seattle office. Prior to joining HDR, Bandarra was the general manager at Clark Regional Wastewater District. He also has served as the utilities manager for the City of Redmond, the general manager at Woodinville Water District, and he was on the Bothell City Council. Bandarra will serve as HDR’s water marketing manager responsible for business development and client management in the water and wastewater programs.
Bob Vaughn, president and chief operating officer of LTM, Inc, and Southern Oregon Region president for Kife River Corporation, retired January 15. Mike Crennen, assistant president of Knife River’s SOuther Oregon region Office and president of LTM, will succeed him. Crennen joined LTM in 2001 as general manager for Roseburg Operations, and was promoted to vice-president in 2005.
Brian Harris, P.E., recently joined HDR as a project engineer in the firm’s Bellevue office. A graduate of Duke University with a master’s in civil engineering from the University of Texas, prior to joining HDR Harris worked a a structural design engineer for the Port of Seattle, where he analyzed, designed and detailed new Port waterfront structures and renovation/ addition projects.
Northwest Mechanical Engineering, Inc. has hired Jon Wilcox, EIT, as a mechanical engineer. Wilcox holds a Bachelor of Science degree form the University of Washington and previously worked at Siemens Building Technology. He is currently working on Edison Elementary, North Idaho College, Alpine Dental, and the Jameson Hotel.
