Otak hires 41 new employees in third quarter across the country and overseas.
Otak Inc. announced it added 41 new full-time professionals to its staff during the past four months, a period in which the multidisciplinary firm added professionals in ten different offices. The company now has more than 475 professionals and support staff in its domestic and international offices.
The ten Otak offices that welcomed those new professionals were located in Lake Oswego, Bend, Corvallis and Manzanita, Oregon; Seattle, Kirkland, Long Beach and Yakima, Washington; Tempe, Arizona; and Abu Dhabi, UAE. The 41 new full-time professionals who joined Otak during the past four months are:
Lake Oswego
Melissa Robelo, transportation engineer; Erica Rooney, transportation engineer and assistant project manager; Stephen Kytola, CAD technician; Ryan Abbott, field survey technician; Crista Gardner, planner; and Michael Feinstein, a senior designer and project architect.
Bend
Mike Schelsky, surveyor; Jim Wells, survey party chief; John Barnard, project surveyor; and Brian Weigart, surveyor.
Corvallis
Patrick Crew, engineering; W. Stephen Hoop, engineering CAD technician; and Kyle Greene, engineer-in-training.

Otak also welcomed 16 professionals to its Abu Dhabi office during the third quarter.
Clark/Kjos Architects announced the addition of six new staff members: the Seattle office gains project managers Jim Daughtrey and Herb Baker, architectural intern Uttara Chati and office assistant Yana Chepusova, the Portland office adds architectural intern Ben Taylor and interiors intern Pattie Desjardins.
George Amburn has joined Day CPM Services as a principal and head of the comprehensive project management firm’s new Seattle office. Amburn’s appointment reflects the growth of Day CPM Services, formed nearly two years ago by Day & Associates, of Portland, and Mahlum Architects, with offices in Portland and Seattle. Gary C. Leaf has joined Lewis as the Director of Information Technology. This newly created senior management position focuses on IT as it relates to business strategy.
Cory Schubert joined Ferguson Construction, Seattle, as senior project engineer to work on projects in the growing retail/hospitality industry. As his first assignment, Schubert is working on the Marriott Residence Inn in Bellevue, Washington.
LRS Architects, Inc. announced that the firm has added seven to the professional staff bringing the firm’s total to 82. Architects, William (Buddy) Smith, Mary McGilvra, Bruce Barton, AIA, Kenneth Klos and Tom Gibbons are Senior Project Managers with Cole Cabler as a Project Designer and Craig Moore in the firm’s IT department. |
