Sequoyah Electric, LLC, a regional electrical and data/communications
contractor, announced the addition of Eric
Reeves as design-build manager, Chris
Harrison and Phil Vivolo
both as senior project managers for New Construction and Ed
Dykstra and Darryl Roberts
both as CAD Detailers.
The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington
(CITC) has hired Robin Brown
as continuing education coordinator and Stephanie King as
student services coordinator. Brown is responsible for scheduling
all continuing education classes (CEUs), and coordinating
with the Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) for
class certification and licensing renewal for vocational licensing
certification with the Workforce Board.
Walker Macy has expanded the firm's management expertise
by naming three dynamic staff members as project managers-Chelsea
Cochran, Ben Johnson,
ASLA, and Colleen Wolfe. Cochran
has been with Walker Macy since 2000. She joined Walker Macy
after graduating in 1999 from the University of Oregon. Since
her arrival in 1999, Cochran, has focused on design and construction
documentation with an emphasis in environmentally sustainable
design. Johnson has been with Walker Macy since 2002 and practicing
landscape design for six years. Wolfe has been on the Walker
Macy team since 2002 and has extensive experience in construction
documentation, project coordination, and project scheduling.
In addition, she has experience with a broad range of project
design experiences, including master planning, urban site
design, housing projects and public and private gardens.
Brian Maxwell has joined BERGER/ABAM
Engineers Inc. Portland, Oregon office. Maxwell has more than
eight years of structural engineering experience with a diverse
range of projects. He also has an extensive knowledge of seismic
evaluations and retrofits. He earned his bachelor's in civil
engineering from Colorado Sate University and his master's
in structural engineering from the University of Texas. Robert
Morast has also joined BERGER/ABAM at the Portland office.
Morast has 41 year of engineering experience in traffic and
transportation engineering, including seven years as traffic
engineer for Washington County.
Group Mackenzie, promoted Susan Higbee,
NCIDQ; Richard Mitchell, AIA;
Richard Spies, AIA; Robert
Thompson; and Thomas Wright
to principal. Additionally, the firm has promoted Matthew
Butts, PE; Mark Clemons;
Tamio Fukuyama, AIA; and Dennis
Woods to associate principal.
LRS Architects, Inc. announced that Britt
Brewer has been named the Director of Interiors and
seven staff members were added, bringing the firm's total
staff to 69, the largest in its nearly 30 years. Raymond
Cheng, AIA was added as a project architect with Mary
Fierros-Bower, Todd Knudson,
Payal Prasad and Serena
VanWranken as project designers and Shellee
Harkins as marketing coordinator.
Brewer brings nearly 25 years of architectural experience
in retail, commercial and educational facilities. Cheng is
a licensed architect with 20 years of experience in a wide
variety of project types for clients such as Intel and planning
projects in China. Fierros-Bower comes to LRS with 14 years
of experience in California primarily with civic facilities
and corporate interiors
Bruce E. Blackmer, FAIA, president
and CEO of Northwest Architectural Company (NAC), has been
appointed to serve as an AIA representative to the National
Architectural Accrediting Board's (NAAB) Board of Directors.
The NAAB evaluates schools of architecture across the nation
for accreditation and serves as the model for similar organizations
around the world.
Sparling recently expanded its audiovisual/broadcast consulting
practice with the addition of Peter
Babler as a project designer and Shannon
Jelenek as a project manager.
