SERA promoted the following employees to associates: Tim
Smith, Clark Brockman,
Ken Christman and Jil
Williamson.
Smith a certified planner and a registered architect brings
to SERA over twenty years of professional experience in city
and regional planning and urban design. He is the recipient
of numerous awards for his work in Smart Growth, and design
and planning for sustainable communities. He was recently
selected as the South Waterfront Urban Design Advisor for
the Portland Development Commission. Brockman's twenty year
architectural career spans a mixture of large commercial and
public works. Brockman joined SERA in 2002 as a Project Manager.
In 2003, he assumed the additional responsibilities as one
of two Studio Managers for the firm.
Christman supports the design team and staff through education
and by setting goals for technology advancements through constant
research and evaluation. He is the firm's technical expert.
Wiliamson was promoted to office manager and associate.
URS Corp. has named Patrick M. Coullahan
vice president and manager of its Alaska operations, which
includes offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau. Prior
to joining URS, he was manager and senior project director
of Alaska operations for Earth Tech, serving as senior engineer
for the Missile Defense Agency's ground-based Midcourse Defense
Joint Program in Alaska for engineering, environmental and
construction activities. In addition, the company named Dave
Alford manager of the company's Pacific Northwest region.
Alford has more than 20 years of experience in operations
management, client development and project management.
Lease Crutcher Lewis has hired Grant
Willman as general superintendent for its commercial
division. His roles will include management of all superintendents
and field personnnel. He will also manage the company's self-performing
work such as steel and concrete. He has been a superintendent
since 1977.
Matthew Spicer has been named
an associate at Clark Kjos Architects, Portland. He as managed
a wide range of health care projects including Takima Valley
Farm Workers Clinics, Samaritin Lebanon Community Hospital
and Providence Hood River Hospital. He is also active in the
firm's marketing efforts.
Parkson's Brinckerhoff has established a specialty service
center, PB PlaceMaking. GB Arrington, Portland, will serve
as the principal practice leader, overseeing all technical
practice areas. He is one of the nation's leading experts
in the field of transit-oriented development. The new group
will offer an array of services focused on practice areas
such as regional growth management, land use planning and
public policy.
