Building in Sunset Corridor
Hillsboro
- The Benaroya Company, Seattle, announced the purchase of
a high tech complex located in the Sunset Corridor area of
Hillsboro from The Park Company LLC of Oregon. The $22 million
transaction includes more than 400,000-sq.-ft. on 46 acres
and includes clean rooms, crystal growing areas and office
space.
Originally designed to manufacture silicon wafers for semiconductors,
the facility is available for lease to technology, biotech/biopharmaceutical,
solar, aerospace, and research and development companies.
Benaroya will launch a re-branding effort which will include
announcing a new name for the complex and also plans to add
new amenities and retail space on the site.
New Seasons Market
Opens in Beaverton
Beaverton - R&H Construction and Richard Brown Architects
recently finished the New Seasons Market by adding 10,000-sq.ft.
to a Ross Dress for Less store and remodeling the building.
The market is located in the Cedar Hills Crossing retail
area.
Working repeatedly with the Richard Brown Architects, R&H
Construction has served as the contractor for New Seasons
Market since it opened its first Sellwood location in 2000
and has built a total of eight stores for the company.
Interface Engineering
Opens California Office
Portland - Interface Engineering, has opened its second California
office in San Francisco. The office is led by two principals,
Hormoz Janssens, P.E., and Joel Cruz. Both have an extensive
history practicing in California in the fields of mechanical
and electrical engineering. The San Francisco office of Interface
is already engaged in designing multiple higher education
projects (including sustainable projects for East Bay higher
education clients), various healthcare projects (from renovation
to new buildings), mixed use high rise, and critical/essential
facilities throughout the Bay Area.
