AIA Honors Outstanding 2004 Projects
McCaw Hall, Library Recognized
The jury of nationally known architects was impressed with
the creativity and style of Northwest architectural firms.
In the 53rd annual AIA Seattle Honor Awards, program, a panel
of critical observers reviewed some 150 entries from Washington
design professionals. A jury comprising architect Ming Fung,
Hodgetts + Fung, Culver City CA; Carlos Jimenez, Jimenez Studio/Rice
University, Houston; and journalist/ author John Morris Dixon
FAIA, chief Editor of Progressive Architecture Magazine 1972-96
reviewed, visited, and discussed local work.
The jury selected nine projects for award and also noted
with admiration the overall high quality of the work
submitted.
