2004 Best of Awards
Northwest Construction
is honoring the Best of 2004 projects throughout Oregon
and Washington for their excellence, innovation and teamwork.
Congratulations to all of the winners in this year's Northwest
Construction's Best of 2004 competition, which honors outstanding
projects in Oregon and Washington.
Industry experts in both states judged the projects based
on technical difficulties, project management techniques,
construction or design innovation, safety and community impact.
The group spent a day in September reviewing dozens of projects,
submitted by their peers and competitors from design firms
and construction companies throughout the region.
The judging process included a spirited, heartfelt debate,
especially with some of the most unusual, difficult projects
ever built in the history of the Northwest up for awards.
The technical difficulty of the Seattle Central Library, the
project management skills used at Sea-Tac airport expansion,
the historic importance of the Henry's remodel and the social
significance of the Holocaust Memorial all stood out as unique
examples.

we have your contact information by e-mailing lucy_bodilly@mcgraw-hill.com.
Projects must be at least 90 percent complete by Dec. 1, 2005.
The judging criteria will fall along the same lines.
See if next year's work can compare with what these outstanding
companies achieved in 2004.
