North Macadam (South Waterfront)

In a partnership with Gerding Edlen Development Co. of Portland, Williams & Dame Development will embark on one of Portland's most visible projects as it begins transforming the city's South Waterfront area.

Situated between the Willamette River and downtown Portland, the South Waterfront project involves developing a $105.5 -million condominium project featuring 242 residential units in 353,242 sq. ft. of space on what is known as "Block 30."

A second phase, valued at $100 million, will turn "Block 31" into a 360,000-sq.-ft. building with 250 units of senior living.

Portland's GBD Architects Inc. is designing the South Waterfront project. Hoffman Construction Co., the Rose City general contracting giant, will break ground on Block 30 early this year and Block 31 in late 2005.
