Alderwood Mall: Renovation at a Glance

Once renovation work at the Alderwood Mall wraps up this fall, Bayley Construction will have completed numerous jobs at the facility.

  • Two, three-level parking structures offering more than 1,800 parking spots

  • New floor tiles, aesthetic dropped ceiling accents, renovated restroom facilities, new fire alarm and life/safety upgrades inside the existing mall

  • "Terrace" area at the south side of the mall which will include several free-standing restaurants, along with the addition of a new paved road and architectural concrete paving in the plaza area

  • Relocation of a stormwater detention system

  • Reconfiguration of the surface parking area on the west and south sides of the mall, including new lights, restriping and the addition of new islands

  • Demolition of the old Nordstrom building. A new Nortstrom building, constructed by Edifice Construction, opened Sept. 19

  • Seven blocks of buildings on the north side of the mall called "The Village," featuring an REI, Borders Books and more than 40 other retailers in the 187,000-sq.-ft. new space
