Oregon Infrastructure

The Oregon Department of Transportation's $500 million package from the state Legislature last year has been a mixed blessing.
At a time when most state agencies are scrambling for funding, ODOT is grateful for the money to pay for road and bridge fixes that are long overdue. Budget Woes Change Plans for Drug and Alcohol
Unit in New Portland Corrections Facility


A drug and alcohol treatment unit proposed as part of a new jail near Portland, Ore., has been axed from the project, the latest victim in continuing budget cuts to the Multnomah County corrections system.
Plans for the $45 million Wapato Corrections Facility in the Rivergate Industrial District initially included a three-level, 325-bed drug and alcohol program. Full Story >>
