DCI Engineers (D'Amato Conversano, Inc.) announces a transition in leadership; principals Elizabeth Jensen and Roger Heering have been named co-managers of operations in Bellevue, the company's corporate headquarters. DCI Engineers founding partners, Mark D'Amato and Guy Conversano, who previously managed Bellevue operations, will now focus more on corporate management and mentoring while they maintain their roles as chief structural engineers for select projects. Also, in actions by the board of directors, Guy Conversano was elected President, taking over from Mark D'Amato who was appointed vice president. DCI Engineers provides civil and structural engineering services.
CDi Engineers recently promoted Todd Bovey and Finn Jakobsen to the position of associate at the Lynnwood mechanical engineering firm. Walker Macy of Portland, Or. has added landscape designer, Christopher Miller to their team. He has a Masters of Landscape Architecture from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Group Mackenzie promoted Susan Higbee, NCIDQ; Richard Mitchell, AIA; Richard Spies, AIA; Robert Thompson; and Thomas Wright to Principal. Additionally, the firm has promoted Matthew Butts, PE; Mark Clemons; Tamio Fukuyama, AIA; and Dennis Woods to Associate Principal. These individuals join Jeffrey Reaves, AIA, President; Mark Hettum, SE, Vice President; and Rick Saito, AIA, CEO, as part of the leadership group for the firm. HDR has promoted Terry Buchholz, P.E., CWRE to the position of southwest Washington Environmental and Water Resources marketing manager based in the firm's Portland office. Buchholz will be responsible for business development and client management for HDR's clients in Oregon and southwest Washington, while continuing to manage environmental and water resource planning projects.
University Mechanical Contractors, Inc. (UMC) of Mukilteo added to their company: Ted Vega recently joined as a detailer. Kevin Coffman joins as team member in the capacity of project engineer. Mark Rosas has joined as a detailer as well, having graduated from ITT Tech in CAD design. Steve Bueler also joined as a design engineer. He comes with a background in welding and fabrication and graduated from Henry Cogswell College with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. James Drinkwater has started working for University Mechanical Contractors, Inc. as a contract administrator. Owen Welling will be a project engineer. He worked for Bechtel Construction as a Piping Field Engineer on power projects in California and New York. Brandon Kappus started work with University Mechanical Contractors, Inc as a HVAC detailer. Brandon has worked as a detailer and a sheetmetal installer for twelve years. Mitch Droz has joined as a Project Engineer. Bob Hollowed came aboard in the capacity of Operations Manager. Bob's last position was with Marelich Mechanical as Senior Project Manager for two years. Linda Barnhart has joined in the capacity of Executive Assistant. Linda worked for the past four years for SASCO Electric as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Director of Administration.
